“I never gave orders for the Army to intervene-Media personnel had made fake information”

With regard to what was published in the newspapers that the Ven Gnanasara thera had given instructions to the Army personnel to disperse the Weliveriya, Rathupaswala demonstrators, the Gnanasara thera had called
for a media conference to disclose and prove to tell that he had not given instructions to the army to intervene.

At the media conference the General Secretary of the Bodu Bala Sena organisation Ven Gnanasara thera had added he completely refutes the allegations and what was published in the newspapers.The thera had gone to add that while he was speaking to the media personnel the battery in his mobile had prevented him from speaking at length. He had added that the few things what was discussed the media personnel had completely distorted and published.

When the owner of the media institution was made known about this he had promised to discontinue his services from that media institution. In this regard the Bodu Bala Sena organisation had issued a notice to the public.
