Continuous Rain in Vanni People stranded in Temporary Huts.

Two days of heavy and continuous rain has very badly affected the routine life of the people in Vanni. People’s dwellings in many places have been very badly affected and transport has also been hampered in some places, the village organizations say .
 Flood waters have crept into the houses at Malayalapuram, unionpuram   and Pannankandy in Kilinochchi. Continuous flooding has damaged many houses and living in the houses has become virtually impossible. The people living in temporary houses are the worst affected. They are said to dwell in those temporary for more than three years, but these huts were meant only for one year.

With three years of resettlement, most of these people have not got any permanent houses. With floods affecting the temporary huts badly for the past three years, the people demand that temporary houses should give way to   permanent   houses even in the fourth year.

They have already lived in temporary huts for three years whereas the huts were meant only for one year. How can we go on living in these outdated huts for three years, the people question?
