Forces Warn the Families of the Abducted


The people of the village of Thambalagamam in the Trincomalee district have complained that they have been warned by the security forces.

The forces have warned the people of Thambalagamam that the relatives of those who have gone missing in those areas during the past should not complain about such events to the nternational orgsnizations including the U.N or to any other foreign organizations.

A lady president of an organization that voices for the grievances of the women affected by the war in North an East has told the B.B.C that the people of Thambalagamam had complained to her about the above warning.

Some persons who had come to Thambalagamam two days ago in a army vehicle had searched for any one who had connections with the liberation Tigers, according to the lady president of the organization that voices for the women who are affected by the war.

The security forces had warned that the people of the village of Thambalagamam that they  should not complain about their missing relatives to any foreign organizations, says the lady president of the organization that voices for the women in the North and East who were affected in the war.
