5 years continuous service in the Army will get you a house worth Rs.10 Lakhs False promises to.....

The Sri Lankan army has been giving false promises to the Tamil girls recently enlisted to the army, by saying

that they are enable for a house worth Rs. 10 lakhs, if they continuously serve in the army for a period of 5 years.

Training for the Tamil girls from the Vanni who were recently enlisted to the army has been completed.
The army has found it difficult to keep the above girls in the army all this while, and as the training has now been completed, keeping them in service in the future will not be an easy task, and in order to stop them from escaping or leaving the army, the above false promise is now given to the Tamil girls.

There was a meeting yesterday in the Vanni army headquarters situated in the Iranamadu army camp in this regard.

Parents of the Tamil girls in the army and village elders from where the girls were hailing from had been invited for the meeting. In this meeting it was announced that if the girls continue their service in the army for a period of not less than

5 years, a house worth Rs. 10 lakhs will be given to them by the army. Letters of consent were demanded from the parents and the village elders in this regard.

The Tamil girls who were recently enlisted to the army were lured in with the saying that they will have to do only computer work and data gathering, but all of them were given military training, and this created controversies. Some who tried to highlight this issue had to face arrest and interrogations.

In the midst, to the false promises of office work and  computer work which were already spoken of, now comes  an added attraction of a house worth Rs.10 lakhs.
