SHOCKER: Bombs Hurled At Theatre Screening Baahubali In Tamil Nadu

While Baahubali  is setting Tamil Nadu box office on fire, some unknown miscreants in Madurai have apparently taken up the responsibility of returning the favour, quite literally, by hurling petrol bombs at a local theatre named Tamil.

Like most of the theatres across India, Tamil has been successfully screening Baahubali  since its release and has also been minting money, thanks to the mountainous success of the film. But the last couple of days, serenity surrounding the theatre suffered a great deal as a group identifying themselves as 'Tamil Tigers' were staging a protest against the film and its makers.

It was reported that the group was trying to justify their fulmination by claiming that Baahubali  portrays Tamilians and a certain caste called 'Arunthathiyar' in a bad light. The theatre was however going about its business of showcasing the cinema without paying much of a heed to the ongoing protest.

But today, office-bearers of the theatre were forced to halt the shows. Petrol bombs were directed at the theatre early in the morning today, disrupting its regular routine. Shows were immediately cancelled and the police department was notified at once. While nobody was harmed, cops are trying to figure out if the group Tamil Tigers has anything to do with this attack which was clearly aimed at bringing the theatre to a halt.

Bomb Scare Udhayam Theatre in Chennai had received a letter in which a potential terrorist had informed that the entire theatre would blow-up if they screen Ajith's Yennai Arindhaal  prior to the movie's release. The letter had also allegedly threatened that eight other theatres would be attacked should the movie come alive in those theatres.
