The third and final schedule of the shoot of superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming film Lingaa commenced in right earnest at the popular tourist destination Jog Falls near Shimoga in Karnataka. As already reported, the crew had already wrapped up the first and second schedule of the film’s shoot in Mysore and Hyderabad (respectively in that order) and is camping in Shimoga for a 20-25 day final schedule of shoot.
Rajini’s close friend and favourite director K.S. Ravikumar, who has made super-duper Rajini hits such as Muthu and Padaiyappa in the past besides assisting Soundarya in the making of Kochadaiiyaan, is the director of Lingaa which is produced by ‘Rockline’ Venkatesh. R. Rathnavelu is the cinematographer while A.R. Rahman is the film’s music director. Anushka, Sonakshi Sinha and Lauren J. Irwin are the trio of heroines opposite Rajini.
The crew has revealed that the climax would be picturized in the picturesque Jog Falls, which is courted by thousands on a daily basis. As many as 3,000 technicians, crew members and junior artistes besides the main cast have assembled at Jog Falls for the film’s shoot. 100 cooks have been put on duty to attend to the needs of the crew members. Temporary kitchens have also been set up to cook food.
Temporary shelters have also been set up for the actors/actresses and technicians/crew members to stay. People have been flocking in huge numbers to watch the film’s shoot. As it’s a Rajini film, the crowd obviously goes berserk and makes it difficult for the crew to control them. The Govt. of Karnataka has, therefore, put 100 policemen on security duty at the shooting spot where Rajini, Sonakshi and Anushka shot yesterday.
