Modi may announce “big tickets’’ projects on Independence Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the first time will be addressing the nation from the historic Red Fort, on 15th of August to mark the 68th Independence Day of India, and he may use the platform to apprise the electorate about some grandiose plans

which will be initiated and implemented by the newly formed government at the centre. After completion of two months in office, BJP clearly is in a hurry to project itself as a party which is taking the country on the path of development and is implementing economic reforms which can revive the sagging economy.
The timing of these reformist announcements is significant, as there have been murmurs among some sections that the electorate is getting disillusioned as the new economic reforms and policies initiated or proposed have failed to make a positive impact as yet.
The endeavor of Prime Minister Modi will be to inform the electorate, which has given a decisive mandate in his favour, the new projects to be launched, which may include a detailed and comprehensive road and highways plan, setting up of solar power projects, developing smart cities with modern infrastructure, drinking water and sanitation projects.
The government is also mulling over a proposal to initiate a drive which will enable about 15 Cr people to open Bank accounts, using technology and this will give momentum to Financialsector in rural India.
All the proposed plans are being fined tuned at war footing in the National Capital and will be rolled out on Independence Day or tentatively on September 25th, the day NDA coalition  government completes 100 days of its tenure
