Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Wanted Chiyaan Vikram To Become Like Sivaji Ganesan

Vikram has shared his own piece of experience of meeting Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam when the actor was blessed with an opportunity to meet India's greatest visionary when he was serving the nation as the President.
Walking down the memory lane with a heavy heart, the National Award winning actor has said, "I was very excited the moment I came to know that he wanted to meet me. I wanted to make sure my kids Akshita and Dhruv get to meet Mr. Kalam as he is a great inspiration for young minds." Though Vikram says he was happy that his kids got to speak to him and were made to sit on his lap, what India's President back then had told him would reverberate in Vikram's mind forever. The missile man of our country has said, "I have not seen movies in the past 25 years but I know your hard work and I want you to become like Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan". Vikram says he was dumbstruck when those words flew out of the great man's mouth. Vikram went on to add that he would never forget that day and Abdul Kalam's demise is indeed a great loss to our country.

Vikram Had Educated His Kids On Dr. Kalam Vikram says even before he took his kids along to meet the then Indian President, he had told them about Dr. Kalam, the way he was brought up, the struggles he had to endure and how he rose above all difficulties to set an example to others.

When The President Appreciated Vikram's Kids After making Vikram's children to sit on his own lap, Dr. Kalam had asked them if they knew 'Thirukkural'. When they recited a few couplets, the great man had appreciated them. He had then told Vikram that his kids are very adorable.

When Vikram Was Inspired Vikram also recollected how Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam worked continuously till 4 PM without even having lunch. He says the only question that lingered on in his mind at that moment was, "can I even be such a humble person like him".

Rajinikanth's Condolence Superstar Rajinikanth had tweeted, "I did not have the privilege of seeing our mahatma Gandhiji, Kamaraj or Barathiyaar but was blessed enough to live amidst mahatma Kalamji".

Rajinikanth's Condolence (contd) He further went on to say, "From humble beginnings Abdul Kalam ji rose to great heights but continued to live humble and simple.
