The first match of the Round of 16 of the 2014 Fifa World Cup between Brazil and Chile ended 1-1 in the full-time and entered the extra-time. Both the goals in the match came in the first half. David Luiz of Brazil scored his
first international goal to put Brazil ahead in the 18th minute off a corner kick. Chile drew level 14 minutes later when Alexis Hernandez scored his second goal of the tournament to make it 1-1. Hulk scored a goal for Brazil in the second half but it was turned down by the referee for touching the hand.
