10 Lankan refugees s detained at the Chenkalpattu detention center for many years stage hunger strike protest on demanding to transfer them towards open air prison.
Officials fail to file case against these detainees. Previously official promised to release 5 suspects in every three months. However Q-branch officers have detained 10 Lankan refugees at this detention center.
At present 52 refugees were detained at this prison. They have stage various hunger strike protest on demanding to release them to society.
Refugees named Gandhi Mohan,Kandeepan,Parameshwaran, Johnson, Suman,Ramesh,Sasidharan, Eshwaran, Balakumar and Kalidaas commence their hunger strike protest this morning. Several other detainees also promised to join them next morning.
Several human rights organisations and political parties raise voice for these detainees. However Indian government fails to pay their attention this regard.
