The High Commissioner of the Human rights commission of the United Nation Navaneedan Pillai is due to visit Sri Lanka at the end of next month. During her short visit she intends making several inspections and she
needs to submit several reports to the United Nations Human Rights Council.
This has been revealed via embassy sources.
The High commissioner is due to visit on the 25th of next month and is due to stay until the 31st of August. The embassy sources have revealed that after visiting several places she will inspect several places after the post war period and see what are the developments that had taken place. She will submit the related reports after her observations to the UNGH Council.
The reports that she would be submitting would be placed before the next 24th sessions United Nations Human Rights Council to be held between the 9th September and the 24th September next year.
In the meantime Embassy sources reveal that her main security office Abraham Manai is in Sri Lanka finalizing her security arrangements.
